Stephanie Houng and Ben Willson created Komedy.io to answer the question:
"How could we help businesses meet the demand from consumers for brands to be more entertaining in their content interruptions (a.k.a: Ads)?"
My role was to get the message out on why comedians have the best skillset for out-of-the-box ideas, how to connect with new audiences regularly, and storytelling to keep a viewer's attention, even if they don't like you.
We initially built a marketplace for comedians to demonstrate their skills and availability for clients needing additional talent for projects.
Later, we pivoted to run it as an agency with more 'hand-holding' with the client from the ideation stage, to script writing, all way through to final production.
